Growth in Prayer and Reflective Living Course
2026-2027 (EITHER Online or In Person)

GPRL is an introductory course in Ignatian Spirituality, offered both online and in person during 2026–2027.
The course is organised around three main themes:
Theme 1 — Prayer and Reflection
Exploring different ways of prayer, reflection and journalling; working with feelings in prayer; and reflecting on images of God.
Theme 2 — Discernment and Decision-Making
An introduction to St Ignatius, Ignatian discernment, and approaches to decision-making.
Theme 3 — Listening and Accompaniment
An introduction to listening skills and the practice of accompaniment.
The course can be taken in 2 ways – EITHER online or in person at the ISC
Online Course
Each theme of the online course will run on Tuesday evenings (19:00 to 20:30) over a six-week block.
- Theme 1: 8,15, 22 September 2026 and 6,13, 20 October 2026
- Theme 2: 12,19, 26 Jan 2027 and 2, 9, 16 Feb 2027
- Theme 3: 13, 20, 27 April 2027 and 4, 11,18 May 2027
In-Person Course
The course will also be offered in person at the Ignatian Spirituality Centre over six Saturdays.
Each theme will take place across two Saturdays.
- Theme 1: 10 & 24 October 2026
- Theme 2: 16 & 30 Jan 2027
- Theme 3: 8 & 22 May 2027
Finance
The suggested offering per theme is £160, however the suggested offering if booking the whole course is £450.
A (non refundable) deposit of 25% will be required on approval of registration.
Electronic Payment is preferred however it can also be made by cheque, cash or standing order and may be made in instalments over the year, according to need.
Grants and financial Assistance:
Those in need of financial support should contact the ISC as soon as possible, and at the latest by 25 July 2026, to allow time to apply for a grant for those eligible.*

However we also recommend that you try and source financial assistance elsewhere if you need it, or speak to us about a bursary - although our funds are limited.
